The Moment
Halfway through their first walk in our private country park for the exclusive use of guests, something happened. Pete stopped walking. He took a breath and said: “This is what a normal dog walk feels like.”

Both Ends of the Lead
Reactive dog ownership is exhausting in a way that’s hard to explain to someone who hasn’t lived it. It’s not just the dog who needs a break. Freya described their stay as “a total reset for both ends of the lead” — and that phrase has stayed with me, because it captures what I know: when your dog is struggling, it’s often a struggle for you too.
